Better Days Agency is dba of sole proprietor Jon E. Forbis.  Jon has  25+ years of experience working directly with enterprises, SMB and tech-startups, the music & entertainment, public sector, & retail merchandising.  His experience spans the realm of advertising, impacting brand development and growth programs, data driven content marketing, publicity/public relations, and ALL THINGS communications.

Experience Counts

Prior to founding Better Days Agency, Jon built a diverse career spanning technology, communications, and creative strategy, working both as a contract consultant and direct employee for leading technology firms and creative/PR agencies in Kansas City, New York City, Silicon Valley, and now Florida.  More recently, he served as Director of Communications for a Central Florida–based advanced imaging company, where he acted as a key liaison between the private sector & NASA Public Affairs, CASIS, the USARIEM, Indiana University School of Medicine, and other stakeholders on a groundbreaking study focused on bone healing aboard the International Space Station. His work played a central role in elevating awareness of the technology and research, which ultimately contributed to the development of advanced treatments for wounded members of the United States Armed Forces.

Earlier in his career, Jon worked in Executive Communications at McAfee, Inc., where he led initiatives positioning C-suite executives as industry thought leaders across global platforms including TED, RSA, and Davos (World Economic Forum), with frequent appearances on CNBC’s Squawk Box and Fox Business. He was an active part of the communications team during McAfee’s $500M acquisition of Secure Computing, the formation of the Security Innovation Alliance and the integration into DISA’s (Defense Information Systems Agency) cybersecurity solutions, and McAfee’s subsequent acquisition by Intel.

In recent years, Jon expanded his work as a publicist and entertainment communications strategist, collaborating with notable figures in music and entertainment. His clients include musicians whose work has been licensed by the Chicago Bulls, leading artists within the electronic dance music scene, and cross-functional branding initiatives for an Oscar, Emmy, and SAG Award–winning actress.

Jon is a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communications, is actively licensed with the State of Florida as an Athlete Agent (verify license 1856 here), and is a lifelong college basketball enthusiast—self-described as a “barely less than rabid fan”—and a devoted Kansas Jayhawks fan & supporter.
